Nordural 2

In the the next morning we proceed to the station by metro to catch the 8:25-train to Baranvichi.
The train to Kirov leaves only at  15:32, so we had decided to make a short trip to Baranovichi and bake before to try the new Stadler-trains.
We leave our big backpacks at the left lugagge office.

Not our train yet - this is the version for suburban train services of the new Stadler-Flirt's::

Our tickets to Baranovichi:

Morning at Minsk station:

Our train arrives from somewhere (probably Baranovichi too) about 15minutes before leaving again:

Inside the train - passenger information system:

Seats:

The ride is quite nice, top speed was 140 km/h. Train was about 50% full.

At Baranovichi Polesskie (the train doesn't serve Baranovichi Centralnyj):

Timetable for the new Stadler-trains:

Our train continues to Brest, but with a different train number:

Back at Minsk Passashirskij station:

The Praha/Wien - Moskva train:

We have lunch in a Pizzeria not far away from the station. After that we return for our departure to Kirov on train 64 (Minsk - Irkutsk):

Initially we had other travel plans and wanted to get on the train at Orsha and had already booked tickets for that from Russian Railways (RZD).
But due to the unclear political situation in Ukraine at that time (the initially planned route was via Ukraine) we changed our plans and we bought additional tickets from Belorussian Railways for the section Minsk > Orsha for the same places as the other ticket.

Our tickets Minsk > Orsha:

And Orsha > Kirov:

As bed linen were not included in the 1st domestic Belorussian ticket and as everything in Belarus is done very correctly, the provodniza gave us bed linen only after we left Orsha (when we reached the route covered by our second ticket)... ;-)
